Procedures for Baptism
-The family must be registered parishioners in order to have their child Baptized at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish.
-The family will call or stop by the rectory to request an intake form. This is to be submitted to submit to the office or emailed to christthegoodshepherd1655@gmail.com.
-Once the family has submitted their paperwork they will be scheduled for their class. CTGS baptism classes are held at 6:30pm, the 1st Wednesday of the Month with Fr. John Wasilewski at the Rectory Meeting Room. The chosen godparents are required to attend.
-Make sure to have turned in the Certificate of Eligibility (COE) for the Godparents to Rectory. One godparent MUST be an active Catholic. Families are told to call the CTGS office to schedule their Baptism date.
Godparents:
Anyone who is looking to become a Sponsor or a Godparent MUST FIRST BE AN ACTIVE AND REGISTERED PARISHIONER of CTGS or an Active and Registered Parishioner at another parish. Remember that as a godparent you must have completed all your Sacraments. The pastor will not sign off on anyone who does not meet this criteria. The chosen godparents will also be required to attend the Baptism class with the parents.
The potential sponsors can stop by the rectory to pick up a form. This can also be submitted via emailed to ctgssecretary@gmail.com.
Baptism Schedule
Baptisms at CTGS are scheduled Sunday’s during the 9am and 11am Masses.
